Rocky Branch Nutrition crafts wholesome baked goods and nutrition-forward provisions in the heart of Wedowee. From sourdough starters nurtured for years to locally sourced ingredients, every product carries the weight of deliberate practice.
Rocky Branch Nutrition started from a simple conviction: that the food people eat every day deserves the same attention to detail as anything served in a fine restaurant. We opened our doors on South Main Street to bring Wedowee a bakery and grocery destination that takes nutrition seriously without sacrificing flavor.
Our breads are fermented slowly. Our recipes are refined, not rushed. And every product that passes through our kitchen carries the standard we would hold for our own tables. That standard is non-negotiable.
Every item in our shop is selected or crafted to meet a standard: it must be good for you and it must taste like it was made by someone who cares.
Long-fermented loaves with a crisp crust and open crumb. Our starter is a living culture, fed daily, used with intention.
Butter croissants, laminated goods, and seasonal pastries baked each morning. Flaky, rich, and made from scratch.
Stone-milled flours, heritage grains, and seed blends. Sourced from mills that prioritize freshness and traceability.
Handcrafted energy bars, granola, and snack items made with real ingredients and minimal processing.
Seasonal produce from nearby farms and pantry staples chosen for quality, not margin. We stock what we'd keep at home.
Celebration cakes, event catering, and special-order baked goods. We take on projects that match our standards.
Great food isn't accidental. It's the result of decisions made before the ingredients hit the counter — ingredient selection, fermentation timing, baking temperature, and the willingness to discard what doesn't meet the standard.
We source flour from stone mills, butter from dairy operations we've visited, and produce from farms within driving distance. If we can't verify the origin, it doesn't enter our kitchen.
Our breads undergo extended cold fermentation — often 48 hours or more. This develops flavor complexity, improves digestibility, and is the single most important decision in our process.
Every batch is evaluated before it reaches the display case. Product that doesn't meet our standard is removed. We'd rather sell less than sell below our line.
"We don't bake to fill shelves. We bake to fill a standard — and if the product doesn't meet it, it doesn't leave our kitchen."
Our shop is open to anyone who values good food and honest preparation. Stop by South Main Street — we'll have something fresh on the counter.
Whether you're looking for sourdough that was worth the wait, groceries you can trust, or a bakery that takes its craft seriously — we're here on South Main Street.
